My first impressions of Lucky Emperor were not so good. I thought the website in itself was plain and boring, but its just a website so no real big deal. I then tried to access their online casino to test it out before downloading, and only ran into problems. They have a flash based browser casino that people can play on their website, but I kept getting flash errors and crashes. I would recommend just trying the download version, which I did.
The first thing you will see after installing the casino (which did take longer than I expected!) is the cheesy little intro. I just skipped by this. Next, my eyes were overloaded with the homepage of their lobby. After I got use to everything it wasn't as bad, but there sure are a lot of things crammed into there. The homepage will show new games, give messages from the casino, offer live chat help, and show current promotions. If you want to play the games, click on the “Go To Games Lobby” at the bottom.
There are a couple of ways that you can navigate through the games. One way is on the left side of the lobby, which is broken into New Games, Favorites, Progressive Jackpots, Slots, Tables, Video Pokers, and Unique Games. The other is by pressing the top left most button, which acts as the main menu for the lobby. By hovering over Games, you can select your game this way. I personally just liked using the tabs, but its nice when sites have more than one way to navigate around. One reason I liked it this way is because it shows a preview for every game, along with the rules and payouts. It's nice to touch up on them before betting some money.
There are a couple things I really liked about the lobby at Lucky Emperor Casino. One is the Favorites feature. You can add games to your favorites so they can be easily found next time to play. Just saves a little bit of time. You don't even have to add them, the most recent games you played will appear here. Also, by either pressing the bottom left options button or accessing the menu at the top, you can change which language the lobby and games are in. There are 18 different languages in all! Pressing the “?” button at the top will open the help menu, which can help you around the lobby and teach you the adjustable features.
Overall, I was satisfied while playing at LuckyEmperor. One thing I did notice though, is the default speed is very very slow. This can be adjusted to very fast in the options menu, and I highly recommend it. Also the background noises seem pretty annoying, but can be changed off.
